Thomas Voss
Bass Guitars & Backing Vocals

Born in 1984 in a small town in eastern Germany, Thomas “Vossy” Voss didn’t grow up immersed in music—but everything changed the day he stumbled upon Metallica’s video for “Fuel.” The song lit a fire in him and sparked a lifelong love for heavy guitars.

At 15, Vossy rediscovered his brother’s old acoustic guitar. From the moment he strummed his first chords, he was hooked. He shut himself away, practicing obsessively day and night, determined to master his favorite songs.

Just a few months later, school friends asked him to join their band—as a bass player. His response: “Yeah, cool. But… what’s a bass guitar?” One look, one touch—and he was smitten. In that moment, Vossy found his musical identity.

In 2004, after finishing school, he moved to Frankfurt (Oder) and quickly connected with other musicians to form a new band. When they couldn’t find a singer, they made a simple decision: the least bad vocalist would take the mic. That’s how Vossy also became a frontman.

Over the years, he performed in several bands and projects, including Hell-Bent, Allemann, and Escape Into The Light (EITL). In 2020, he co-founded MojoVan, where he remains the lead vocalist and bassist. Their 2022 EP warten… marked his first official release.

In 2023, Dubai-based hard rock/heavy metal band Vin Sinners were looking for a new bassist. Drummer Thomas Mielenz—also from Frankfurt (Oder)—recommended Vossy, his former bandmate from Allemann. After a few video calls with frontman Vin Nair and a deep dive into the band’s catalog, it was obvious: Vossy was the perfect fit. With the fourth studio album underway, he jumped in without missing a beat—contributing both musically and creatively, and quickly becoming part of the Vin Sinners family.

Ask Vossy about his musical tastes and you’ll rarely get the same answer twice. While his roots lie in metal, rock, and punk, his playlists span country, rap, pop, and classical music. Still, guitar-driven soundscapes dominate his world. He’s never chased idols or tried to mimic others—instead, he’s always pursued one goal: to sound like no one else but himself.
